World Hemophilia Day

April 17th is observed as World Hemophilia Day annually, commemorating the birthday of Frank Schnabel, who founded the World Federation of Hemophilia. This occasion serves as a platform to increase awareness and provide education about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

Celebrating Earth Day

On Monday, April 22, 2024, Multnomah County will honor Earth Day by illuminating the Morrison Bridge in green and blue.

Make-A-Wish Foundation’s World Wish Day

Today, we are lighting up the Morrison Bridge along with other landmarks around Portland blue in honor of all past, present, and future wish kids on World Wish Day, the day our organization was founded. The Oregon chapter was founded in 1983 and has since granted over 5,000 wishes for local children

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples Awareness

In remembrance of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP), Multnomah County will illuminate the bridge and waterways Red on MMIP Day, May 5th, to bring visible awareness to the ongoing crisis of the disappearances and killings of American Indian and Alaskan Native peoples.

Shine a Light on NF is an initiative that brings global NF awareness into local communities by lighting up buildings, bridges, and other architectural icons in blue and green. NF (Neurofibromatosis) is a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.

CaringBridge is a no-cost, nonprofit health platform that surrounds family caregivers with support while they care for a loved one on a health journey. We offer tools to share and document a health journey, simplify care coordination, and connect caregivers with a supportive community.
