Purple for Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness on the Longest Day
June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month and June 21 is The Longest Day.
The Longest Day is all about love. Love for all those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. On the summer solstice, teams across the country partner with the Alzheimer’s Association to select an activity they love — or an activity loved by those affected — to help end Alzheimer’s. Funds raised fuel care and support while advancing research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
Purple is the official color of the Alzheimer’s movement and we encourage people to “go purple” during Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month and, in particular, on The Longest Day!
