Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month
The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) mobilizes people and resources to provide access to high-quality care
and leads research toward a cure so people with pulmonary fibrosis will live longer, healthier lives.
Pulmonary fibrosis is a group of lung diseases that causes progressive scarring of the lungs. It affects over
200,000 Americans and more than 50,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. There is no known cure.
As part of our Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month celebration in September, we’re inviting building owners and
municipalities across the country to light iconic buildings and structures in PFF colors to help shine the light on
this debilitating disease. All participants will be featured in the PFF’s #BlueUp4PF social media campaign which
reached more than 1.2 million people in 2018.
