National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day
Our request is to illuminate GREEN on March 25, 2019 for National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day on behalf of
the Make Lemon Aide Foundation for CP’s national campaign called “Light UP Cerebral Palsy Awareness”. You
supported our request for 2 years. We were wondering if you’d be supporting our awareness campaign this year.
We are in the process of working on PR for each city and we’d love for your buildings to be included.
This campaign is important to raise the well needed awareness for Cerebral Palsy, honor the 17 million families
affected by CP, celebrate their courageous spirits and give them hope while letting them know they’re not
forgotten. This is an invaluable message for our communities to light up to show our Cerebral Palsy communities
their city cares. Our foundation, families affected CP would be most grateful for your support. Our campaign will
be on our website, we’ll post to all our social media outlets and groups, announced in our newsletter, the
Squeeze as well as national media outreach.
Our foundation’s mission is to raise Cerebral Palsy (CP) Awareness until everyone knows about it, raise funding
for advanced treatments for children alive today and bring the CP community together treating them special and
not forgotten. Our founder, Lauren Walier, who fights CP daily was inspired at 12 years after learning there’s NO
federal funding for CP research affecting 17 million children and adults. She declared being the voice for those
with CP who may never have their voice. It’s known as the forgotten disability. Everything starts with awareness
first that’s why this support is important to us. The Make Lemon Aide Foundation for CP is a 501c3 non-profit
